#the thing about christine is #perhaps she’s not the epitome of Strong Female Character #because there are a lot of times where the way she’s presented in the narrative #is as more of an object than a subject #like yes she lets the phantom lead her blindly into his lair #and yes she kind of lets raoul ‘save’ her in all i ask of you #i totally see that and understand that #but the point of the christine glorification that happens is #she grows #she grows from the scared little girl clutching onto broken dreams #and she becomes a strong woman who will give her life away for compassion and selflessness #because it’s the right thing to do #she is the one who saves herself in the end #and that’s why she’s such a brilliant character #christine daae the heroine of every story

I think it’s also unfair for people to call her a subject. She’s the product of her environment. She grew up in a time when women were wholly submissive to men, and probably didn’t bat a lash when a wealthy, handsome, kind man offered to protect her and marry her. What woman in her time period wouldn’t have said yes? (Also, very good points Chelsea. Not arguing with you. Just giving my two cents)

My thought was though Sherlock played it cool before Molly left, once alone with the baby, he’s at a loss for quieting a fed and changed baby….until the internet suggests ‘kangaroo care’ and that’s how Molly finds them…
